With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Malaquias Teixeira!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jigsawz misses with a body shot

and Teixeira counters by moving into the clinch.
Teixeira misses with a hook to the ribs.
Jigsawz presses Teixeira against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Jigsawz blocks the elbow strike.
I was talking to Jigsawz's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Teixeira gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jigsawz.
Jigsawz takes a shot to the head.
Teixeira misses with a body punch.
Jigsawz lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Teixeira or not.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Teixeira creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Jigsawz jumps guard but Teixeira turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Teixeira struggles to land a body shot inside as Jigsawz controls his hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice right hand lands inside from Teixeira.
Teixeira looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Teixeira lands an uppercut.
Jigsawz throws a punch but it's blocked by Teixeira.
Teixeira lands a body punch in the clinch.
Jigsawz lands a left hand.

Jigsawz pulls Teixeira into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Teixeira is looking to pass into half guard but Jigsawz pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jigsawz is in guard.

Teixeira keeping moving, preventing Jigsawz from controlling successfully.

Teixeira looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jigsawz trying to control the position from guard on top but Teixeira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Teixeira controls Jigsawz momentarily but Jigsawz frees himself.

Jigsawz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Teixeira can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jigsawz drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jigsawz as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Teixeira screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jigsawz! Nice submission victory there!
