Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Blitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin comes to the cage accompanied by Tron Cat- Tyler, The Creator. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blitz gets the takedown into side control.
Franklin is looking for a sweep.
Franklin is trying to work for a sweep but Blitz has mounted him!
Franklin is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Rabid Dog , so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Franklin is in all sorts of trouble here.
Franklin gets back to half guard.

Blitz postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Franklin to stand up.

Franklin has closed the distance and engaged Blitz in a clinch.
Blitz stalling in the clinch but Franklin improves position.
Franklin wants to take the fight to the mat but Blitz manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Blitz gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are battling for position here. Franklin manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Blitz wants to get up but he can't break Franklin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Franklin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blitz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Franklin is looking for a triangle but Blitz pushes his legs off easily.

Franklin has his foot on Blitz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blitz works his way back into a safe position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Blitz is posturing up here but Franklin has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Blitz tries to roll out but it's too tight and Blitz has to tap! Slick submission there by Franklin!
