The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gutz, pushing him back against the cage.

Gutz throws a punch but it's blocked by Killer.
Gutz lands a good knee to the midsection. Killer won't want to take too many of those.

Killer's coach down at Wreckshop was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Killer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Gutz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Killer defends it nicely.

Killer lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gutz backs up against the cage.

Killer is trying to trip Gutz. He has hold of a leg but Gutz is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Killer persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Gutz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Killer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Apollo Gutz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
