Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Filiberto Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nolan Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nolan Cross has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Filiberto Duke's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Filiberto Duke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nolan Cross!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cross clinches up against the cage.
Cross misses with a punch to the body.

Cross has picked Duke up - he's going for a ride! Cross dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Duke kicks off Cross and gets to his feet.

Cross shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cross showed some decent athleticism there.

Duke has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Cross is on him like a limpet, forcing Duke back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cross tries to stall but Duke uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Cross tries to break the clinch but Duke is controlling the position.

Cross pulls guard effortlessly.
Cross being controlled here, momentarily.
Cross not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Duke decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cross, up you get!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Cross has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Duke uses from the top position.
Duke landing some decent shots from guard.
Duke controlling from the top position.
Duke stopping the sweep attempt from Cross.
Duke is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Cross striking from his own guard.
Cross throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Duke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duke is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cross is trying to keep Duke in close.
Cross wants to stand and escape but Duke is having none of it.
Cross trying to keep a closed guard but Duke is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Duke is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Cross throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Duke counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Cross has had enough of the clinch but Duke keeps him there for the moment.
Duke content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Cross is trying to break the clinch but Duke is controlling him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cross wants the takedown. Duke is fighting it off but Cross persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Duke's guard against the cage.

Duke has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cross off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Duke pushes Cross up against the cage in a clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Cross pulls guard successfully.
Duke postures up.
Duke distracts Cross with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Duke thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Duke cracks Cross with a solid left hand.
Duke's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Duke stands up from Cross's guard - Duke perhaps looking for a knockout.

Cross takes the fight into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cross breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cross pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Duke clinches with his opponent.
Duke keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cross's efforts to push away.

Duke decides to pull guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Filiberto Duke dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Cross fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Duke to the ground. Cross is now in Duke's guard.
Cross wants to control from the top but Duke keeps moving.
Cross makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Duke is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Cross presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Cross has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Duke pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Duke closes the distance and clinches.
Cross trying to stall but Duke improves his position.
Duke is trying to force a seperation but Cross has the dominant position.
Cross looking to slow down the pace here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Duke keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cross's efforts to push away.

Cross turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Cross manages to end up in side control.

Duke throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Cross slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


Duke is rocked!


It looks like Filiberto Duke has been cut.

Cross shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Duke is unconscious as Cross celebrates over his stricken foe!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Nolan Cross!
A very excited looking Nolan Cross rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
