Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sailor Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Doom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Disciples of Power - Lords of Creation. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sailor Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
29 - 26 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Doom!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Watson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doom chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Doom, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Doom against the cage but Doom circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Doom stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Doom let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sailor Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Doom.
Gracie tries to counter with a takedown but Doom is quick to defend against it.
Doom keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd cheers as Doom lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gracie doesn't seem phased though.
Doom attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Doom.
Doom takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses.
Doom throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gracie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gracie appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Doom fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gracie.
Doom keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Doom as he jumps to the side.
A low kick from Doom is predictable there
and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie.
Doom is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gracie presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Doom is trying to force a seperation but Gracie has the dominant position.
Doom tries to land knees in the clinch but Gracie avoids the damage to the body.
Doom stops a takedown attempt from Gracie.
Gracie tries to pull guard but Doom holds him up against the cage and eventually Gracie drops back down to his feet.
Gracie is trying to pull guard but Doom has him pressed against the cage.
Doom works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Doom prevents the takedown attempt.
Doom lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Doom walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Doom comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Doom lands a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Doom cracks Gracie with a good jab.
It looks like Sailor Gracie has been cut.
Doom ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gracie on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Doom, right into the meat.
Gracie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Gracie has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Doom.
Doom bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head.
Doom blocks a head kick by Gracie.
Doom throws a body punch but Gracie moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Doom dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sailor Gracie's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Doom tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Doom.
Gracie shoots for a takedown but Doom saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gracie is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Gracie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Doom steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Doom misses with a body shot
and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Doom won't be happy with that.
Gracie works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Gracie has control of an arm but Doom manages to advance to Gracie's back!
Doom controlling well, preventing Gracie from escaping the position.
Doom is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Doom is hanging on to Gracie's back as he tries to escape.

The referee is taking a good look at Gracie as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Doom!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Doom tries to keep control of the position but Gracie is staying busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doom has the hooks in. Gracie is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Doom has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Doom lands strikes to the head.
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Doom is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Doom gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Doom gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Doom apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Gracie takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Doom scores with a leg kick.
Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into Doom's guard.
Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Doom slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Doom defends it easily.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Gracie lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Doom is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie postures up in Doom's guard and throws a big left but Doom blocks it.
Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Doom is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gracie passes into half guard.
Doom is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.

Gracie is working for a kimura but Doom is defending it quite comfortably.
Doom is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount!
Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Doom is looking to escape.
Doom slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Doom is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!
Doom has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Gracie.
Doom is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Gracie defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Gracie looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Gracie wants to escape the position.
Doom punishes Gracie with strikes from the back mount.
Gracie rolls, trying to escape but Doom keeps control of the position.

Dave Doom showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Sailor Gracie's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Doom lands a nice looking body shot.
Gracie looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Gracie trying to control but Doom is working from the bottom.

Gracie wants to control from the top but Doom keeps moving.

Doom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gracie's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Doom takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Gracie wants to pass the guard but Doom is keeping the position.
Gracie keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Doom's head.
Doom looking for a sweep. Not yet Doom, not yet.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Doom's guard.
Gracie lands with a punch from half guard.
Gracie looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Doom is rocked!
Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Doom does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Doom is still in real trouble! Can Gracie finish him?
Gracie is looking for a kimura but Doom is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.
Doom is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount!
Doom seems to have recovered his senses.
Gracie fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Doom is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action.
Gracie connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Gracie loads up with a big shot that hurts Doom! He's pulled Gracie in close but Gracie has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Doom survive? More strikes from Gracie and Doom is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Sailor Gracie!
Our winner, Sailor Gracie, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
