Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krzysztof Kothciushco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kothciushco moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kothciushco is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Santos.
Kothciushco tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Santos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A combination from Kothciushco does no damage.
Santos looks to land a right hand but Kothciushco moved out of range.
Kothciushco has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A big left from Santos misses.
Kothciushco throws a right and a left that Santos avoids nicely.
Santos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kothciushco.

and Kothciushco counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kothciushco's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Santos connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kothciushco scrambles back to his feet.

Santos appears to be looking for a big counter.
Santos walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Kothciushco drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Santos swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Kothciushco's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
