Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Techi has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Mcfadden feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Mcfadden closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Well, if Mcfadden is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Techi is looking to control Mcfadden's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Techi avoid being mounted?
Mcfadden is taking a breather. Techi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mcfadden's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Techi gets caught flat footed, as Mcfadden shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Mcfadden throws a strike but Techi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Techi drops back looking for a leg! Mcfadden is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mcfadden manages to kick Techi off! Techi jumps back into Mcfadden's guard.

Mcfadden is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Techi presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Mcfadden for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Techi goes for a takedown attempt but Mcfadden pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Mcfadden closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Techi quickly recovers to half guard.

Mcfadden thows a huge punch but Techi dodges it nicely.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcfadden wants to work for an arm triangle but Techi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Mcfadden is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Techi can do to turn this around?

Mcfadden shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Techi napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Techi is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Mcfadden is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Maurice Techi!
Maurice Techi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
