PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Quintin Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and God Loki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). God Loki told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Topper Green and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Nice takedown defense from Loki. No joy for Jacobs on that attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jacobs.
Loki now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Jacobs fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jacobs moves in looking to clinch but Loki pushes him off.

Jacobs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Loki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Jacobs shoots in and drives through. Loki sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quintin Jacobs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jacobs moves in looking to clinch but Loki pushes him off.

and Loki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jacobs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jacobs doesn't manage to clinch there - Loki circles away.
Jacobs throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Jacobs tries to clinch but Loki moves out of range.

and Loki counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jacobs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Oh Jacobs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Loki scores with a counter punch that sends Jacobs to the canvas! Loki smells blood - he's punishing Jacobs with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Jacobs has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
