Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Juan Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartek Pietrzak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Koski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bartek Pietrzak!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koski throws a good cross that connects.
Koski shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Koski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pietrzak is looking to improve his position.
Pietrzak manages to get to full guard.
Pietrzak wants to sweep here but Koski controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koski throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Koski's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Pietrzak is trying to control the position but Koski postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pietrzak has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Let's hope that Pietrzak has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pietrzak bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Koski's guard.

Koski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Koski has his foot on Pietrzak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pietrzak works his way back into a safe position though.

Koski is looking to sweep but instead, Pietrzak has passed into half guard.
Pietrzak is keen to just control but Koski is a slippery customer.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pietrzak lands a nice short elbow.
Pietrzak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Koski keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koski gets back to full guard.
Pietrzak trying to control but Koski is working from the bottom.
Koski is trying to keep Pietrzak in close.
Koski lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Koski wants to control from the top but Pietrzak keeps moving.
Koski loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Pietrzak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Koski stands and throws Pietrzak's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Pietrzak tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
You can see the frustration on Pietrzak's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Koski laying and praying for a moment but Pietrzak takes advantage and regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Juan Koski dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Koski feinted with a counter takedown.
Pietrzak scoring well with a low kick there.
Pietrzak scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Pietrzak ducks under a wild hook from Koski.
A big left from Pietrzak misses.
Pietrzak throws a chopping leg kick but Koski manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Pietrzak tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Koski was well out of range. Poor timing from Pietrzak.
Koski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pietrzak bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Koski's head backwards.
Pietrzak throws a hook to the side of Koski's head but Koski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pietrzak swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Koski counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Koski is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pietrzak misses with a few strikes there.
Pietrzak looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Pietrzak connects with a body shot.
Koski shoots in for a takedown but Pietrzak shows good takedown defense.

Pietrzak misses with a left hand
and Koski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pietrzak feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Koski's calf.
Koski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Koski scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Koski throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pietrzak.
Koski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nice uppercut there from Koski.

Koski gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Pietrzak won't allow Koski to sweep him here.
Pietrzak trying to control the position from guard on top but Koski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Koski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pietrzak controls the pace.
Koski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pietrzak manages to get himself to full guard.

A close second round but Bartek Pietrzak will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Koski throws a jab but it's blocked by Pietrzak.
Pietrzak takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Koski changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Pietrzak paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Pietrzak comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Koski counters with a nice uppercut.

Pietrzak throws a body shot but no joy.

Pietrzak tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Koski is able to avoid easily.

Pietrzak shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Koski but Koski pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Koski was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Pietrzak keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pietrzak misses with a hook. Koski ducked under it nicely.
Koski throws a right and a left that Pietrzak avoids nicely.
Pietrzak fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pietrzak lands a nice hook to Koski's body. Koski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Koski scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pietrzak doesn't seem bothered though.

and Koski counters with a left and a right that stings Pietrzak.
Pietrzak throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Koski goes for a double leg but Pietrzak avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pietrzak continues to drive forward.
And Pietrzak tries to counter it with a takedown but Koski pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Pietrzak looks to score with a jab to the body but Koski is just out of range.

Pietrzak throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pietrzak moves away from the strike by Koski.
Pietrzak lunges at Koski with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Koski's hand.
Pietrzak defending well as Koski loads up on a big left hand.
Nice defenses there by Pietrzak.
Pietrzak lands a right hook to the body.

Koski tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pietrzak defends well and Koski ends up having to push Pietrzak into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Pietrzak looks to land a left hand but Koski moved out of range nicely.
Pietrzak slaps away a takedown attempt from Koski, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Pietrzak throws the left hand but Koski avoids the punch easily.
Koski takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Koski lands a leg kick that knocks Pietrzak off balance momentarily.
Koski lands with a kick to the temple. Pietrzak shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Pietrzak lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Pietrzak scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Koski is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Pietrzak lands a leg kick that knocks Koski off balance momentarily.
A bone on bone clash there as Koski blocks the leg kick.

Koski checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Pietrzak misses with a straight left.
Pietrzak misses with a hook.
Koski drops down looking for a counter takedown but Pietrzak sprawls and moves away.
Koski cracks Pietrzak with a right hand to the side of the head.
Pietrzak scores with a decent looking hook.
Pietrzak throws a hook but Koski avoids it easily.
Koski takes one to the side of the head.
Koski throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Pietrzak misses with a looping right.
Pietrzak takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Koski shoots in looking for a takedown but Pietrzak manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Koski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Koski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pietrzak as he jumps to the side.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bartek Pietrzak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pietrzak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
