The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Powers moves into the clinch.
Powers is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Powers prevents a takedown attempt there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chase wants to take the fight to the mat but Powers manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Powers has Chase pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Powers pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Chase tumbling to the mat - Powers dives into Chase's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Powers gets control of Chase's arms and successfully pulls guard. Powers will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Powers has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
