The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harmbe tries to clinch
and Holm counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Harmbe tries to clinch but Holm moves away
enabling Holm to counter with a crisp jab.
Harmbe closes the distance looking to clinch

Harmbe doesn't manage to clinch there - Holm circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Holm! But no joy.
Holm swats away the attempt to clinch by Harmbe.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harmbe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Holm cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Harmbe shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harmbe seems to be looking for submissions.
Harmbe prevents Holm from standing back up.
Holm is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Harmbe is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Harmbe is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Harmbe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Holm can do anything to dispel that myth.

Holm looks like he's trying to stand up.

Holm is defending against the submission attempts here by Harmbe.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Harmbe is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Harmbe is taking a breather. Holm says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Holm really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harmbe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Harmbe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That was a close round but I would say that Harold Harmbe will probably get the nod.

and Holm counters with a straight right hand.
Harmbe misses with a few strikes there.

Holm lands a nice shot to the body.
Holm misses with a body punch.
Harmbe can't get the takedown.
Holm swings wildly with an uppercut but Harmbe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Holm has a couple of punches blocked by Harmbe.

Holm gets underhooks to prevent Harmbe's takedown attempt.
Harmbe is trying to maintain a safe position but Holm gets an underhook and turns Harmbe into the cage.

Harmbe has Holm pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Harmbe pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Holm tumbling to the mat - Harmbe dives into Holm's guard.
Harmbe is standing up over Holm. Holm looks to escape but Harmbe dives into side control.

Harmbe tries to advance to mount but Holm denies him.
Harmbe prevents Holm from escaping the position.
Holm is trying to escape the position but Harmbe is controlling the position.
Holm is not content to let Harmbe control the position.
Holm is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Harmbe asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Harmbe is working to tighten his grip on Holm's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Holm has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Harmbe is really squeezing tight and eventually Holm passes out! Harmbe breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
