Alvarez comes into the arena with Barbarian by The Darkness blaring out of the sound system. Hardwood has chosen Ali Bomaye by The Game as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardwood throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Alvarez sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Alvarez ducks under a wild hook from Hardwood.
It looked like Alvarez was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Hardwood.
Alvarez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hardwood sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Major Hardwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hardwood swings for the body but Alvarez moves out of range.
A nice combination there by Hardwood.
We've been told by Alvarez's head coaches at FIERCE that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Alvarez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hardwood.
Alvarez tries to counter with a takedown but Hardwood is quick to defend against it.

A shot to the body from Hardwood misses
and Alvarez counters with a series of strikes. Hardwood will be more careful next time no doubt.

Hardwood throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hardwood catches Alvarez with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Hardwood scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Hardwood shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Hardwood is working Alvarez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Hardwood arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Alvarez's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
