The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chester lands a two punch combo.
Funk has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Chester throws a one two combo.
Chester closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Funk quickly recovers to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Funk looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Chester is looking for a kimura here.
Chester is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Funk makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Funk.

Chester drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chester jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Funk wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Chester cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Funk is rocked!
Chester looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Funk covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

John Chester bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
