And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kovalev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Salvador Perez has been cut.
Jab, jab by Kovalev - just one landing.
Perez throws a series of punches but Kovalev moves out of range.
Perez doesn't manage to clinch there - Kovalev circles away.
Perez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kovalev counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Perez is rocked!
Kovalev weaves into range and cracks Perez right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Perez goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Kovalev is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vladimir Kovalev!
