Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor Smith!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilkinson sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.
Smith shoots in and drives through. Wilkinson sprawls well.
Erasmo Wilkinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conor Smith.
Smith tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Smith lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Smith.

Wilkinson has closed the distance and engaged Smith in a clinch.
Smith is looking to control Wilkinson's arms but Wilkinson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Smith has his back to the cage.

Wilkinson drags the fight down to the ground.
Smith wanted to stand there but Wilkinson had control of the position.

Wilkinson manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Smith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wilkinson is aware though and is defending well.
Smith takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wilkinson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Smith is proving hard to escape from.
Wilkinson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Smith wants to control the position but Wilkinson says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wilkinson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
