The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pilvi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Glover was well out of range. Poor timing from Pilvi.
Glover shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pilvi eats them both and turns towards Glover to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Pilvi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Glover manages to avoid it.

Glover looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Pilvi throws a leg kick but Glover sees it coming and checks it nicely.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

and Glover takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pilvi cracks the inside of Glover's front leg.

A solid leg kick lands there for Pilvi.
Pilvi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Glover thuds his right hand into Pilvi's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Pilvi lands a really nice looking cross but Glover seems unphased.
Glover fails to land with a series of punches.
Pilvi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Glover has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Glover chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pilvi can pounce on him.

Glover tries to move into range but Pilvi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Glover is still on wobbly legs! Can Pilvi finish him?
Pilvi lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Glover - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Pilvi!

After the fight, Veikko Pilvi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
