Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hennan Hoyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordus Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gordus Clay has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Hennan Hoyce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gordus Clay!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clay drives through with a takedown into Hoyce's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Hoyce scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Nice defenses there by Clay.
Hoyce takes one to the side of the head.
Hoyce throws a looping overhand right but Clay ducks down to avoid it.
Hoyce throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Clay stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hoyce.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Clay moves out of range of the strikes.
Clay tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hoyce paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Clay instigates a clinch.
Hoyce stalling in the clinch but Clay improves position.
Clay goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Clay lands a nice shot to the body.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Clay.
Hoyce lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Hoyce is fighting off a takedown attempt but Clay is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hoyce to the mat. Hoyce regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Clay pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hoyce is keeping the position for now.
Clay won't allow Hoyce to sweep him here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoyce is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Clay trying to control the position from guard on top but Hoyce is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Clay tries to free his leg and advance position but Hoyce is retaining full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Clay accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hoyce is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Clay lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Clay throws a big right hand that misses.
Clay trying to control but Hoyce is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Clay looking to pass the guard.
Clay won't allow Hoyce to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Clay tries to clinch up but Hoyce circles away and keeps his distance.
Hoyce misses with a double jab.
Hoyce misses with a hook.
Hoyce circles away from the clinch attempt
and Hoyce counters with a nice uppercut.

Clay takes the fight into the clinch.
Clay doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hoyce tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Clay's elbow.

Clay has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hoyce clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
I really don't envy Hoyce right now.
Clay throwing damaging strikes from the back! Hoyce could be in trouble here!
Clay lands shots from the back.
Clay is punishing Hoyce with strikes - can he finish him?!
Hoyce takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Hoyce trying to control the hands but Clay breaks the grip.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Clay is landing with strikes. Hoyce can't take much more of this.
Hoyce is taking damage to the body and head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Clay lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Clay throwing damaging strikes from the back! Hoyce could be in trouble here!


Hoyce is rocked!
Clay is punishing Hoyce with some ground and pound.
Oh Hoyce is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oooh a big shot gets through from Clay. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Clay is not going to allow Hoyce to sit and survive in this position.
Clay drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Hoyce is in real trouble here! Clay lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Clay is delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gordus Clay!
Gordus Clay decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
