Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James B. Grossweiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Batuhan Jaruud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grossweiner and Batuhan Jaruud. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaruud moves out of range of the body kick.
Grossweiner loads up on a big right hand but Jaruud slips the punch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Jaruud darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Batuhan Jaruud has been cut.

James B. Grossweiner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grossweiner throws a hook to the side of Jaruud's head but Jaruud sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Grossweiner manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jaruud on his heels. He'll look to pass Jaruud's guard now, I'm sure.
Jaruud is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jaruud's coach down at GWad's Playpen was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jaruud's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Nice combo by Grossweiner! Oh, that's hurt him - Jaruud falls to the canvas and Grossweiner follows him into side control.

Grossweiner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jaruud, who protects the arm well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Grossweiner connects with a nice short shot to Jaruud's temple.
Grossweiner wants to pass to mount but Jaruud is defending the position.

Batuhan Jaruud's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Batuhan Jaruud's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
