Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malaki Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daerion Leafshard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lima might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hawaii '78 - IZ. Malaki Lima has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leafshard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lima dives in for a single leg takedown but Leafshard sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Leafshard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lima circles away quickly and effectively.
Leafshard tries to bum rush Lima with a series of wild strikes but Lima uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Leafshard gets caught flat footed, as Lima shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lima throws a big elbow that misses.
Lima controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Lima has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lima postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Lima passes Leafshard's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Lima has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Leafshard defend it? Lima steps over the head and cranks it - Leafshard is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lima!
