The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lasto thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lasto uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Malt has time to react.
Malt scores with a head kick.
Lasto throws a hook to the side of Malt's head but Malt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Malt shoots for a takedown but Lasto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Malt tries to pull guard but Lasto holds him up against the cage and eventually Malt drops back down to his feet.

Malt has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lasto uses from the top position.
Malt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Malt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
