Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucjan Anielski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Pretty Reckless - Take me down. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesse Blake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucjan Anielski!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Blake throws a half hearted mid kick.
Blake throws a right and a left that Anielski avoids nicely.

Blake scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Blake trying to control the action but Anielski is working from the bottom.
Anielski is trying to control Blake's posture but Blake avoids it.
Blake wants to control but Anielski is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blake looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Anielski is avoiding damage well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blake is keen to just control but Anielski is a slippery customer.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Blake got a little sloppy there for a moment and Anielski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blake has managed to get both his arms back between Anielski's legs - danger averted.

Blake throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Blake is looking to take a break and control but Anielski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Blake is pressing down on Anielski's thigh, looking to free his foot. Anielski is holding on for now.
Blake has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Blake wants to take a breather but Anielski is having none of it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Blake is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Anielski defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anielski is staying active underneath Blake, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Blake fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Anielski throws a big shot that misses.
Blake lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The fighters circling - Anielski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Blake slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Blake clinches up against the cage.

Blake breaks the clinch.
Blake throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Blake shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Anielski napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Blake wants to control but Anielski is keeping him busy.
Jesse Blake overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've been hearing good reports from Blake's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Blake decides to stand up, so the ref orders Anielski to his feet.
Blake shoots in for a takedown but Anielski shows good takedown defense.

Blake breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Anielski lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Jesse Blake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A lazy left from Anielski finds it's target.
A head kick misses from Blake.
Anielski throws a fast counter high kick but Blake manages to duck under it in time.
Blake is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Anielski can do to turn this around?

Blake shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Anielski manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Anielski is looking for a triangle but Blake pushes his legs off easily.
Blake would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Blake stands and throws Anielski's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Blake goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Anielski rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Blake's guard! Nice work there by Anielski!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Blake bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Blake tries to counter with a takedown but Anielski is quick to defend against it.
Anielski throws a hook but Blake avoids it easily.
Anielski connects with a good right hand that stumbles Blake. Blake circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Blake gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Anielski trying to stall but Blake improves his position.

Blake manages to break the clinch.
Anielski defending well as Blake loads up on a big left hand.
Anielski throws out a counter right but Blake avoids it with no problem.
Anielski throws a lazy right hand but Blake sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Blake throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Blake backing away here, and Anielski unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Blake tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Anielski was well out of range. Poor timing from Blake.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Anielski! But no joy.
Blake tries to score a power double leg takedown but Anielski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blake somewhat.
Blake bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Blake throws a push kick but Anielski slaps the foot to one side.
Blake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Anielski is fending him off so far but Blake persists. Nope, Anielski circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jesse Blake will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Anielski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blake as he jumps to the side.

Anielski looks to land a left hand but Blake moved out of range nicely.

Blake wants to control from the top but Anielski keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Blake lands a nice looking kick to the body. Anielski takes a step back to recover.

Blake tries to bum rush Anielski with a series of wild strikes but Anielski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Blake scores with a jab to the jaw.
Anielski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blake moves away.
Blake comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Blake bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Blake throwing strikes but Anielski manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
You can see the frustration on Blake's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Blake is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Blake is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Lucjan Anielski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Blake throws Anielski to one side and escapes!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Anielski stuffs the takedown attempt from Blake. Blake gets slowly back to his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Lucjan Anielski.
Well Blake has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Jesse Blake rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
