Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marek Koltun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Poulter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Marek Koltun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 30 - 2, fighting out of London, Paul Poulter!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koltun takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Koltun lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Koltun clinches.
Poulter is trying to break free.
Koltun is struggling to control the position.
Poulter misses with a punch on the inside.
Koltun's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Koltun jumps guard but Poulter stands there with Koltun around his waist. Koltun gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Koltun pushes Poulter back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Koltun breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Paul Poulter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Koltun changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Poulter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Koltun is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Poulter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Koltun wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Poulter, who protects the arm well.
Poulter is not content to let Koltun control the position.
Sloppy strikes there by Koltun.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Koltun has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Koltun uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Poulter.

A little feinted left hand from Koltun on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Koltun shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Koltun was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The crowd cheers as Koltun lands an impressive looking overhand right. Poulter doesn't seem phased though.
Poulter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Koltun.
Poulter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Koltun is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Poulter can do to turn this around?

Koltun is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Poulter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Poulter has escaped and now he's on top!

Koltun has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Poulter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Koltun has gone for a leg lock! Poulter slips out almost immediately though and dives into Koltun's guard.

Poulter stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Koltun has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Poulter manages to get his head free but now Koltun has transitioned to an armbar! Poulter grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Koltun! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Marek Koltun!
An out of breath Marek Koltun thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
