Just Bleed 24 PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Huell Babineaux and Sendou Kitano. Babineaux comes to the cage accompanied by Ready or Not. Kitano has chosen Yoshida Brothers - Ibuki as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the champion to my right.
With a record of 9 wins, 3 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of London, Sendou Kitano!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babineaux is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kitano.
Kitano looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Babineaux dodges the punch combination from Kitano.
Kitano misses with an uppercut. Babineaux saw that one coming.
Babineaux seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kitano swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kitano defending well as Babineaux loads up on a big left hand.
Kitano feints a counter leg kick.
Kitano throws a low kick but it's checked well by Babineaux.
Kitano thuds his right hand into Babineaux's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kitano getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Kitano takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kitano throws a leg kick
and Babineaux counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Sendou Kitano has been cut.
Babineaux throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Babineaux avoids the head kick by Kitano.
It looked like Babineaux wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Kitano avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A good leg kick by Kitano.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kitano swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
An attempted straight right counter from Babineaux misses the target.
Babineaux ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kitano stuns Babineaux with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kitano tests Babineaux's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Babineaux fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kitano manages to avoid it.
Kitano looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kitano swings for the body but Babineaux moves out of range.
Babineaux chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kitano can pounce on him.
Babineaux takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kitano throws a leg kick but Babineaux checks it.
The fighters circling - Kitano throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kitano misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kitano throws a hook but Babineaux avoids it easily.
Babineaux avoids the body shot from Kitano.
Kitano looks to land a body kick but Babineaux moved away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kitano misses with a leg kick

and Babineaux counters with a nice right hand that sends Kitano toppling to the canvas! Kitano scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Babineaux finish him?!

Kitano is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Babineaux throws a pinpoint strike between Kitano's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Kitano crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Babineaux scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Huell Babineaux!
Huell Babineaux is the new heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Huell Babineaux thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Sendou Kitano stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thank you Just Bleed for this opportunity, sorry to have disappointed. Congratulations to my opponent'.
