Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kona Bud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Reagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronald Reagan has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kona Bud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ronald Reagan!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bud throws a front kick that sends Reagan stumbling back into the cage.
Bud goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Reagan slips a jab from Bud.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Reagan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Reagan throws a jab but it's blocked by Bud.
It looked like Bud wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A thudding body kick lands there by Bud!

Reagan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Reagan misses with the head strike.
Reagan works on Bud's body with a couple of short punches.
Reagan lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bud backwards.

Bud manages to break the clinch.
Bud uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reagan.
Bud is looking to counter punch.
Bud dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Reagan. That did some damage!
Nice body punch from Bud.
Reagan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bud paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A jab lands there for Bud.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bud walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Reagan takes the fight into the clinch.
Reagan lands a right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bud wants to get back to striking at distance but Reagan won't allow it.

Bud's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bud scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Bud slips under a jab.

Reagan moves into range and clinches up with Bud.
Bud tries to break the clinch but Reagan is controlling the position.
Bud lands a shoulder strike.

Reagan is trying to trip Bud. He has hold of a leg but Bud is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Reagan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Reagan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Reagan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Bud is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bud tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reagan trying to control the position from guard on top but Bud is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bud is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Reagan is controlling him.
Reagan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bud is keeping the position for now.

Reagan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Reagan doesn't manage to clinch there - Bud circles away.

Reagan moves into range and clinches up with Bud.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bud lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Reagan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Reagan misses with a short punch on the inside.
Bud working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Bud lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Reagan backwards.
Reagan misses with a body punch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Reagan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Reagan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Bud swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bud lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A right hook to the body lands for Bud.
Nice body punch from Bud.
Bud swings wildly with an uppercut but Reagan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Reagan tries a body shot but Bud blocks it.
Bud's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bud blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Bud breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice cross by Bud.
Bud fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Reagan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reagan jabs at Bud's body.
Bud lands a nice looking kick to the body. Reagan takes a step back to recover.
Bud scores with a body shot.
Reagan walks into a jab.
Bud swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Reagan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Bud jabs Reagan right on the nose. Reagan blinks but takes it well.
Reagan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bud.
We've been told by Bud's head coaches at CHAD GRENADA SUCKS that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bud throws a jab when Reagan was well out of range.
Bud takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bud gets tackled into the cage by Reagan. Reagan maintains the clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Reagan.
Reagan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A short left from Bud.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kona Bud will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A slow jab from Bud misses its intended target.
Reagan tries to counter by closing the distance.
Reagan cracks Bud with a right hand to the side of the head.
Reagan defending well as Bud loads up on a big left hand.
Reagan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bud eats them both and turns towards Reagan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Reagan takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Bud walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bud misses with a kick to the body

and Reagan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bud won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Reagan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bud, who protects the arm well.
Bud struggling a bit here.

Reagan is working to tighten his grip on Bud's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bud has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Reagan is really squeezing tight and eventually Bud passes out! Reagan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Ronald Reagan!
