Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alen Zalac!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyle Mill!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zalac turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Zalac scores with a punch to the head.
Mill with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Zalac to score with a decent uppercut.
Zalac lunges at Mill with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mill's hand.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mill shoots in for a double leg but Zalac sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Zalac digs a good hook to Mill's body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Zalac. That's going to slow Mill down.
Zalac stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zalac wants it to stay on the feet.
Mill keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Zalac counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Alen Zalac has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Mill.
Mill closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Zalac is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at MM eh Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mill is staying tight to Zalac's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Mill might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Mill tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Zalac wants to control but Mill postures up.
Mill advances nicely into full mount.
Zalac is squirming around, avoiding Mill's attempts to control the action.
Mill looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Zalac wants to hold on but Mill pushes him away.
Mill is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Zalac has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Zalac!
Mill wants to sweep but no luck.

Mill bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zalac's guard.
Mill wants to control from the top but Zalac keeps moving.
Mill is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Zalac is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Zalac has escaped and now he's on top!
Zalac is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Zalac content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Mill is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zalac defends well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zalac is working Mill over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Zalac working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Mill lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Mill prevents Zalac from getting back to his feet.
Mill wants to control from the top but Zalac keeps moving.
Zalac is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mill is aware though and is defending well.
Zalac is breathing heavily.

Zalac is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Zalac has had enough of the clinch but Mill keeps him there for the moment.

Mill is trying to pull guard but Zalac has him pressed against the cage.
Zalac is looking to control Mill's arms but Mill gets an underhook and turns him. Now Zalac has his back to the cage.
Zalac tries to break the clinch but Mill is controlling the position.
Mill has Zalac pressed against the cage, preventing Zalac from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Zalac tries to circle away but Mill has him pinned against the cage.
Mill tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Zalac smiles and moves away.
Mill tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Zalac defends well and Mill ends up having to push Zalac into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Zalac looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Zalac displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mill.
Zalac smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Mill leaves Zalac with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alen Zalac dominated that round.
That's time! Zalac's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Zalac gets the takedown into side control.
Zalac scores with a couple of short elbows.
Mill tries to improve position but can't.
Mill gets back to half guard.
Mill moves into full guard.
Zalac is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Mill looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zalac is one step ahead there.
Mill manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zalac manages to get himself to full guard.
Zalac is trying to keep Mill in close.

Mill's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Zalac can't keep his opponent in guard - Mill advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Mill wants to take a breather but Zalac is having none of it.
Alen Zalac overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mill wants to work for an arm triangle but Zalac is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Zalac is trying is best to control the position here.
Zalac is defending against the submission attempts here by Mill.
Mill works his foot free and advances to mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mill working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Mill has hold of Zalac's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Zalac manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Mill trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Zalac tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mill looking to control but Zalac is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Mill moves to take his opponent's back.
Mill has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Zalac is defending well but eventually Mill manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Zalac has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
