Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Washe Lay!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lay counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Power misses with the combination.
Power tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lay was well out of range. Poor timing from Power.
Lay slips a jab from Power.
Lay throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Lay tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Power manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lay bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lay shoots in but Power avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lay tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Power paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lay manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Power wants to control from the top but Lay keeps moving.
Lay is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Power throws a big elbow that misses.
Power trying to control the position from guard on top but Lay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Power is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lay is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Washe Lay has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lay has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Power can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Power, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
