Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
33 - 18 - 1, fighting out of New York, Andy Chick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kanga Roos!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chick drives through and clinches with Roos against the cage.
Roos working hard to break the clinch.
Roos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Chick avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Roos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Chick moves into the clinch successfully.
Roos is looking to break free of the clinch but Chick has double underhooks.
Roos changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Chick fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Chick circles away from the clinch attempt
and Chick counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Chick gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roos told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Andy Chick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kanga Roos.

Chick lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Roos backwards.
Chick digs a right hand underneath Roos's ribcage. Roos let out a lung full of air as it connected.

A head punch on the inside from Chick fails to land.
Chick throws a head punch that misses.
Roos is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Chick to keep the fight standing.
Chick gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Roos.
Roos drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chick is looking to stand up but Roos won't let him.

Roos trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Roos wants to sweep here but Chick controlling him for the moment.
Roos working for a triangle but Chick defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roos looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Chick puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Roos is trying to maintain the position but Chick is very close to passing his half guard.
Roos tries to roll over but Chick keeps him under control.
Chick seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Chick's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Roos wants to get back to full guard but Chick has passed into side control.
Roos is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Chick decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Roos scores with a takedown into Chick's guard.
Chick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Roos manages to get himself to full guard.

and Chick counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Roos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Roos looks for a takedown but Chick sprawls well.
Chick cracks Roos with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Roos tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chick defends well and Roos ends up having to push Chick into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Roos looks up at the clock. Bad move! Chick lands a right hand from hell, dropping Roos. Chick pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

After winning the bout, Andy Chick thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
