The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? DoReMay is fending him off so far but Brooks persists. Nope, DoReMay circles away and we're back to standing.
Brooks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

DoReMay shoots in and gets a takedown into Brooks's guard.

Brooks scrambles and gets back to his feet.

DoReMay gets a double leg takedown into Brooks's guard.
Brooks is pulling down on DoReMay's head to control his posture.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brooks lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

DoReMay looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Brooks puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
DoReMay pushes Brooks off but Brooks dives into side control.

Brooks lands a few punches from side control.

DoReMay reaches up around Brooks's neck trying to control. But Brooks takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for DoReMay! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! DoReMay is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Brooks celebrates the victory with the fans!
