PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lexington Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louiseen Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas connects with the punch.

Henry closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Henry lands in his opponent's guard.
Henry landing some decent shots from guard.
Thomas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Henry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Thomas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Henry is looking to stand up but Thomas won't let him.
Henry stops Thomas from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henry content to stall in guard here.

Henry tries to stand but Thomas is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Henry keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Thomas's head.
Henry advances position into side control!
Thomas struggling a bit here.
Henry moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Thomas is trying to control Henry's posture but Henry avoids it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thomas is looking to reverse the position.
Henry creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Henry just content to control the position.
Henry has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Henry tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Henry works to advance to full mount. Thomas defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Thomas has given up his back here. Will Henry look for the submission or keep pounding away?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henry just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Henry lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Thomas is trying to break free.
Henry scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Thomas is looking for a way out.

Henry has got one arm under Thomas's chin. This could be trouble... Thomas trying to control the other hand but Henry gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Thomas has tapped out! The fight is over!
