Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randall Dudley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mostafa Amer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mostafa Amer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randall Dudley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mostafa Amer!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dudley tries a head kick but it misses.
Amer throws a head kick that misses.
Dudley changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Dudley gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Dudley manages to break the clinch.

Dudley forces Amer back against the cage and clinches.

Dudley gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Amer is trying to maintain the position but Dudley is very close to passing his half guard.
Amer looks like he's trying to stand up.
Dudley prevents Amer from improving his position.
Dudley content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amer tries to roll over but Dudley keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dudley is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Dudley continues to stall.
Amer flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Dudley content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Amer tries to roll over but Dudley keeps him under control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dudley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Dudley thows a huge punch but Amer dodges it nicely.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Dudley has managed to clinch.
Dudley has Amer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Amer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Amer has hold of one of Dudley's legs. Dudley is fighting the takedown attempt but Amer gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Amer makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Amer wants to pass the guard but Dudley is keeping the position.
Dudley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dudley throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Dudley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dudley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Amer's guard.

Amer wants to get back to his feet but Dudley is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Dudley really is a fat lump.

Dudley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Amer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dudley to the ground. Amer is now in Dudley's guard.

and Dudley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Amer won't be happy with that.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dudley on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Dudley wants the takedown. Amer is fighting it off but Dudley persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Amer's guard against the cage.

Amer is looking for a triangle but Dudley pushes his legs off easily.
Dudley is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amer wants to sweep but no luck.
Dudley lands a couple of elbows.

Dudley is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Amer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dudley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Dudley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dudley takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


It looks like Randall Dudley has been cut.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dudley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Amer trying to control the position from guard on top but Dudley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dudley lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Dudley lands a couple of digs.
Amer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dudley is one step ahead there.
Amer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Dudley engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Dudley stands up over Amer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

More hug and hope from Dudley.
Dudley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Amer wants to stand and escape but Dudley is having none of it.

Dudley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Amer trying to keep a closed guard but Dudley is proving a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dudley clinches with his opponent.
Dudley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Amer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Amer is looking to break free of the clinch but Dudley has double underhooks.

Amer swats away the attempt to clinch by Dudley.
Amer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mostafa Amer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amer misses with a double jab.

Dudley forces Amer back against the cage and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Randall Dudley will probably get the nod.

That's time! Dudley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Amer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dudley is looking for a sweep. Amer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Amer is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

I would just about give that final round to Mostafa Amer.
