Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deangelo Flagg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phoenix Templar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flagg comes to the cage accompanied by What Its Like. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Templar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Flagg did well to prevent Templar getting side control.

Templar is looking for a kimura but Flagg is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Templar to get the leverage.

Templar is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Flagg defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flagg is trying to control but can't.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flagg has his foot on Templar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Templar works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Templar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Flagg looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Flagg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Templar manages to get himself to full guard.

Flagg is in close to Templar's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Flagg is pushing down on Templar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Templar is fighting to maintain full guard but Flagg has managed to sneak the leg through.

Flagg is looking to control the position but Templar frees his trapped leg and locks up an armbar from the bottom! It looks tight! Flagg grimaces and holds on for a second but is forced to tap or have his arm broken! Slick Jiu Jitsu from Templar there - Flagg really paying for some sloppy defensive work!

A less than humble Phoenix Templar misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
