Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Carlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlin comes to the cage accompanied by Architects of Life. David Robinson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Carlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Robinson!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlin fails with the takedown
and Robinson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Robinson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carlin.
Robinson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Carlin misses with a takedown attempt
and Robinson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Robinson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Carlin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Robinson defends well and Carlin ends up having to push Robinson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Carlin shoots in looking for a takedown. Robinson tries to sprawl out of it but Carlin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Robinson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Carlin is defended easily by Robinson.
Carlin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Robinson tries to avoid it but Carlin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Robinson to the ground. Robinson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Robinson is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Carlin with a body shot.

Carlin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Carlin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Carlin shoots for a double leg takedown but Robinson sprawls well. He's pushed Carlin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Robinson looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Robinson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Carlin momentarily.

Carlin is breathing heavily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carlin.
We've been told by Carlin's head coaches at Kalashnikov MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Carlin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Robinson is fending him off so far but Carlin persists. Nope, Robinson circles away and we're back to standing.
David Robinson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

David Robinson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Carlin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Robinson avoids it really well and circles away.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carlin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Robinson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carlin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Carlin throws a strike aimed at the side of Robinson's head but Robinson avoids it well.
Carlin in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Carlin lands a strong strike to the head of Robinson. That's dazed him! Carlin looking to finish here. Robinson is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Carlin lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
