The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been informed that Payapa has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Prince creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Prince tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Payapa avoids it.
Prince drops down looking for an ankle pick but Payapa pulls his leg out and moves away.
Payapa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Prince tries to avoid it but Payapa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Prince to the ground. Prince escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Payapa shoots in looking for a takedown. Prince tries to sprawl out of it but Payapa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Prince manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Prince changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Payapa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Tajal Payapa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Payapa goes for a double leg but Prince avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Prince continues to drive forward.
Prince really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close second round but I would say that Granville Prince will probably get the nod.

Prince will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Payapa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Prince doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Prince manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Granville Prince.
Well Prince has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
