Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bright Pants (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideaki Ryota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryota is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kabuki Gomen-Jyo by Wadaiko Matsuriza. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bright Pants!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideaki Ryota!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryota moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Pants lands a jab to Ryota's midsection.
Ryota decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pants wants to stand back up but Ryota manages to pass into side control.
Ryota wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pants keeps working.
Pants is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Ryota is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Pants can't escape the position.
Ryota can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pants is looking to escape.
Pants really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ryota takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ryota has control of Pants's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pants regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Pants regains half guard.
Pants moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ryota gets to his feet. Pants looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Donk. Pants catches Ryota right on the button with a cross.
Pants scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ryota looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Ryota trying to mount his opponent but Pants defends it.
Pants wants to improve his position but Ryota is controlling well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ryota seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Pants has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ryota is working away from the top position though.

Pants moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ryota tries to free his leg and advance position but Pants is retaining full guard.
Ryota passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Pants wants to control but Ryota is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ryota is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ryota postures up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pants is on top in guard.
Ryota pulls Pants in close to prevent any damage.
Ryota is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pants wants to pass the guard but Ryota is keeping the position.
Ryota had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pants defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Hideaki Ryota will probably get the nod.

Bright Pants seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pants lunges at Ryota with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ryota's hand.
Pants scores with a one two! Ryota had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Pants looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Ryota rushes Pants and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bright Pants is winning the standup battle so far.
Ryota takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Pants looks to land a combination but Ryota avoids it well.
Bright Pants is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pants fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ryota on the side of the head.
Ryota closes the distance and clinches.
Ryota decides to pull guard.

Ryota is pulling down on Pants's head to control his posture.
Ryota escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pants gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pants with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ryota is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ryota is breathing heavily.
Pants keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ryota's head.
Ryota keeping moving, preventing Pants from controlling successfully.
Pants will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ryota is looking for a triangle but Pants pushes his legs off easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pants trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pants accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pants postures up in Ryota's guard and throws a big left but Ryota blocks it.
Pants throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ryota works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Pants working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Pants scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Ryota shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Pants is looking to sweep but instead, Ryota has passed into half guard.
Ryota postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pants to stand up.
Ryota bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Pants is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Ryota is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pants is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pants sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Pants really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ryota trying to control the position from guard on top but Pants is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pants manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ryota manages to get himself to full guard.
Ryota has his foot on Pants's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pants works his way back into a safe position though.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Pants lands a slapping body shot.
Pants looks to land a combination. Ryota sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Pants misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ryota gets a double leg takedown into Pants's guard.
Ryota slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Ryota wants to control from the top but Pants keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryota postures up.
Ryota takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ryota won't allow Pants to sweep him here.
Pants has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ryota should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Pants has tightened it up now! Ryota should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
