Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wayne Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Porra Caralho!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caralho misses with a kick to the body

and Kerr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Caralho's guard.
Kerr tries to free his leg and advance position but Caralho is retaining full guard.
Kerr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kerr trying to control but Caralho is working from the bottom.
Caralho is pulling down on Kerr's head. It's preventing any offense from Kerr, at least for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kerr stands and throws Caralho's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kerr happy to just control the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Caralho is trying to control Kerr's posture but Kerr avoids it.
Kerr slows the pace down.
Kerr seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Caralho for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Caralho gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Kerr controlling the position easily from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kerr wants to control the pace but Caralho is squirming around nicely.
Kerr wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Caralho is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kerr is trying to control here but Caralho has managed to regain half guard.
Kerr is looking to advance position but Caralho won't allow it.

Kerr is trying to work for a kimura but Caralho is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Caralho is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Kerr has latched onto it... Big trouble! Kerr pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Caralho is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Kerr!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Wayne Kerr!
