Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ollie Woodard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sirus Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sirus Morgan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ollie Woodard's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ollie Woodard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sirus Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morgan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Woodard was covering up waiting for the punch and Morgan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Morgan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Morgan stops Woodard from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Woodard pulls Morgan in close to his closed guard and prevents Morgan from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morgan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Woodard trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Morgan misses with a low kick.
Woodard is looking to counter the offense by Morgan and move into the clinch.

Morgan throws a wild body kick that Woodard sees coming a mile off.

Morgan feints and as Woodard raises his hands in defense, Morgan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Woodard wants to stand but Morgan is controlling the position.
Morgan wants to pass the guard but Woodard is keeping the position.
Morgan wants to control from the top but Woodard keeps moving.

Woodard dives in for a single leg takedown but Morgan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Morgan is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Morgan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Morgan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Woodard is trying to control Morgan's posture but Morgan avoids it.

Morgan scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Woodard to see if he's OK.

Woodard is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Morgan asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Morgan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Morgan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Woodard gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Morgan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Morgan is breathing heavily.
Morgan postures up.
Morgan works over Woodard with some ground and pound from guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sirus Morgan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Woodard has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Morgan is on him like a limpet, forcing Woodard back against the cage.

Morgan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Woodard has a closed guard, preventing Morgan from standing up.

Morgan wants to get up but he can't break Woodard's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Woodard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ollie Woodard.
Well Morgan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Sirus Morgan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
