Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thurman Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Repenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch but Repenko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Repenko changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Coleman throws a nice inside leg kick.
Coleman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Repenko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Coleman.
Repenko with the counter takedown but Coleman avoids it easily.

Coleman really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleman goes for a takedown attempt but Repenko pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Repenko swats away the attempt to clinch by Coleman.

Coleman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Repenko to the ground. Coleman is now in Repenko's guard.
Coleman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Coleman won't allow Repenko to sweep him here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Repenko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Repenko is adopting a defensive guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coleman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Repenko works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Repenko wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Repenko preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Coleman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Coleman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Repenko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Repenko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Coleman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Repenko wants to improve his position but Coleman is controlling well.

Coleman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Repenko is controlling Coleman's position as best he can from this difficult position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Coleman is working for a kimura but Repenko is defending it quite comfortably.
Repenko wants to control but Coleman is keeping busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Coleman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Repenko is just riding it out for now. Coleman eventually gives up the hold.

Coleman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Repenko has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thurman Coleman dominated that round.
That's time! Coleman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Coleman is looking to clinch but Repenko is avoiding it.
Repenko tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Nice sprawl there from Repenko as Coleman shoots in.
Repenko is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Coleman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Repenko tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Coleman is in Repenko's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Repenko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Oh Coleman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Repenko postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Coleman in real trouble here! The ref calls for Coleman to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Artur Repenko!
