Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Adriano Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Como (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adriano Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Como finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Como throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Silva throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Como tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Silva is in Como's guard.

Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Como's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Como has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.
Well, if Silva is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Como might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Silva haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Como connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Silva momentarily.

Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Como moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Como uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Silva.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Como lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Silva has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Silva and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
It looked like Silva wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Como is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Como manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Como's guard.

I would just about give that final round to Bill Como.
