The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregory works Mason's body with a nice hook.
Gregory scores with a shot to the body.
Gregory attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Mason stuffs the takedown attempt from Gregory. Gregory gets slowly back to his feet.
Gregory misses with a head kick.
Gregory has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gregory is trying to maintain a safe position but Mason gets an underhook and turns Gregory into the cage.
Gregory tries to pull guard but Mason forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Mason is looking for a takedown.
Mason really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gregory tries to stall but Mason uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Mason ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mason no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Mason is looking to sweep but instead, Gregory has passed into half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mason is trying to stand back up but Gregory is controlling him
Gregory is keen to just control but Mason is a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gregory shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mason pinned against the cage. Mason gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mason is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jean Paul Gregory will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mason's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gregory misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mason doesn't manage to clinch there - Gregory circles away.
And Gregory tries to counter it with a takedown but Mason pushes his down on his head and steps out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gregory is defended easily by Mason.

It looked like Mason was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Gregory.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gregory or perhaps it was just good defense by Mason, which made it look bad.

The two fighters roll across the mat, with Mason trying to push Gregory off... Mason taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
