The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lightbourne throws a hook to the side of Amla's head but Amla sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lightbourne throws a nice inside leg kick.
Lightbourne swings widly with a right hand
and Amla counters with a nice uppercut.
Amla pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lightbourne scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Amla displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lightbourne throws out the jab.
Amla on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Lightbourne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Amla moves away.
A little jabbing left from Amla on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Lightbourne throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Amla ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Lightbourne misses with a straight right.
Lightbourne throws a lazy right hand but Amla sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lightbourne cracks Amla with an open hand slap.

Lightbourne feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Amla's calf.
Amla on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A big left from Lightbourne misses.

Amla pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lightbourne swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Lightbourne misses with a looping left.
Lightbourne falls off balance throwing a combination
and Amla counters with a straight right hand.

Lightbourne gets tackled into the ropes by Amla. Amla maintains the clinch.
Lightbourne lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Lightbourne escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lightbourne looks to score with a jab to the body but Amla is just out of range.
Lightbourne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Amla was well out of range. Poor timing from Lightbourne.
Amla rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lightbourne connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Amla moves into the clinch successfully.

Lightbourne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Amla moves away.
Amla misses with an uppercut. Lightbourne saw that one coming.

Lightbourne cracks Amla with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Amla is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Amla is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Amla could not beat the count!
