Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Velez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nj Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexander Velez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nj Chase!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase throws a head kick but Velez moves out of range.
Chase wants to clinch up but Velez keeps it at a distance.

Velez manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Chase is looking to clinch but Velez is avoiding it.

Velez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chase seems a little lost for a moment, as Velez dominates the positioning.

Chase is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Velez off and has taken his back!

I really don't envy Velez right now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chase is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Velez defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Velez wants to control his opponent's hands but Chase gets his hands free.
Velez is trying to get back to his feet but Chase has full control of the position and if anything, Velez has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Nj Chase comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Velez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
