Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gonzalez.
Hammond walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gonzalez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Gonzalez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hammond.

Gonzalez darts in and clinches Hammond up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Gonzalez's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hammond wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gonzalez has him pressed against the cage.
Gonzalez is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hammond is defending well for now.
Hammond is looking for a takedown.
Hammond pushes Gonzalez back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Gonzalez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hammond.
Gonzalez tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gonzalez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Gonzalez tries to break free but Hammond pushes him back against the cage.
Gonzalez has had enough of the clinch but Hammond keeps him there for the moment.

Hammond can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rickie Hammond. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gonzalez prevents a takedown attempt there.

Hammond wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gonzalez has him pressed against the cage.
Gonzalez makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Hammond breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hammond could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hammond takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Hammond is rocked!

It looks like Rickie Hammond has been cut.
and Gonzalez counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Hammond! He's just covering up as Gonzalez starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
