Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gary Pitts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piglas Malaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gary Pitts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Piglas Malaya!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitts lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Malaya circles away quickly and effectively.
Malaya takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Pitts throws a left and a right that both miss
and Malaya counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Pitts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Malaya moves into the clinch.
Malaya tries to pull guard but Pitts holds him up against the cage and eventually Malaya drops back down to his feet.

Malaya has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pitts regains guard immediately.
Pitts looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Pitts can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Malaya controls the pace.
Pitts tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pitts is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Malaya wants to stand but Pitts has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Malaya in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Malaya trying to control the position from guard on top but Pitts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pitts lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Malaya keeping moving, preventing Pitts from controlling successfully.
Pitts will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Pitts is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Malaya had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pitts defends it easily.
Pitts is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Malaya is looking to sweep but instead, Pitts has passed into half guard.
Pitts not doing much here.
Malaya is trying to stand up here but Pitts is controlling him well.

Pitts perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pitts thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Pitts looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Pitts is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pitts moves in looking to clinch but Malaya pushes him off.
Malaya looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Malaya feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pitts pushes Malaya off and gets back to his feet.
Malaya misses with the combination.
Malaya looks winded!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Malaya is defended easily by Pitts.
Gary Pitts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piglas Malaya.

Pitts gets tackled into the cage by Malaya. Malaya maintains the clinch.

Malaya gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pitts is looking for a sweep. Malaya is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Pitts is looking to control Malaya's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pitts avoid being mounted?
Pitts preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gary Pitts will probably get the nod.

Pitts moves to clinch but Malaya breaks away
and Malaya counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Pitts throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Malaya counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Malaya.

Malaya gets control of Pitts's arms and successfully pulls guard. Malaya will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pitts accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malaya wants to sweep here but Pitts controlling him for the moment.
Pitts looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pitts's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pitts throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Pitts controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Pitts is looking to work some ground and pound but Malaya has wrist control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Malaya closes the distance and clinches up with Pitts, looking for a takedown. Malaya pushes Pitts against the cage but Pitts circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Malaya thuds a left hand into Pitts's body.
Gary Pitts is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Malaya misses with a hook. Pitts ducked under it nicely.
Malaya dives in and grabs Pitts's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pitts pushes down on Malaya's head and hops out.
Malaya is breathing heavily.

Pitts throws a series of punches but Malaya avoids them all with ease.

Malaya closes the distance and pushes Pitts back into the cage.
Malaya tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gary Pitts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piglas Malaya.

Pitts is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Malaya can't fight it off and eventually Pitts manages to take the fight to the floor. Malaya looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pitts wants to control from the top but Malaya keeps moving.

Malaya looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pitts passes into half guard.
Malaya is looking to get back to is feet but Pitts passes into side control.

Malaya is letting Pitts control him for a moment.
Pitts cracks Malaya with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Malaya is not content to let Pitts control the position.
Pitts is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Malaya's shoulder. That is not cool.
Malaya is looking to regain half guard here but Pitts keeps moving and retains side control.

Pitts tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pitts is looking to take a break and control but Malaya is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Malaya tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Malaya is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pitts asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pitts just content to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gary Pitts will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Pitts tries to clinch but Malaya is having none of it.

Malaya has taken the fight to the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Malaya tries to score a body lock takedown but Pitts shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Malaya breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Malaya blocks a low kick nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Malaya has managed to clinch.
Malaya wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Malaya has picked Pitts up - he's going for a ride! Malaya dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Pitts is trying to control but can't.
Pitts is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Malaya is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Pitts moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Malaya would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Pitts keeping moving, preventing Malaya from controlling successfully.
Pitts is pulling down on Malaya's head. It's preventing any offense from Malaya, at least for the moment.
Pitts looking for a sweep. Not yet Pitts, not yet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Malaya closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pitts to the mat! Pitts manages to get full guard.
Malaya must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Malaya takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Pitts wants to sweep but no luck.
Pitts controls Malaya momentarily but Malaya frees himself.

Malaya stands and throws Pitts's legs to the side, diving into side control.

You can see the frustration on Pitts's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Piglas Malaya comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pitts has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
