Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evander Boston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stare Bengal!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boston shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bengal sprawls well. Bengal wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boston gets slowly back to his feet.
Bengal fails with the takedown.
Bengal lands a nice hook to Boston's body. Boston takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Boston looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Boston is defended easily by Bengal.

Bengal has taken the fight to the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boston breaks the clinch.

Bengal closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Boston lands a body punch.

Bengal wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Boston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bengal has managed to clinch.

Boston breaks from the clinch.

Bengal moves into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boston is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bengal is defending well for now.

Bengal pulls guard.
Boston trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bengal looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Boston wants to control from the top but Bengal keeps moving.
Boston not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Boston trying to control but Bengal is working from the bottom.
Bengal wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boston misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Boston closes the distance and pushes Bengal back into the cage.
Bengal takes a shot to the head.

Boston has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bengal avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Boston wants a takedown.
Boston throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Boston has hold of one of Bengal's legs. Bengal is fighting the takedown attempt but Boston gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boston decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Bengal leaves Boston with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
As Boston backs off Bengal throws a huge counter combo but Boston manages to avoid it all.
Boston is breathing heavily.
Bengal throws a series of punches but Boston moves out of range.
Boston misses with a takedown
and Bengal counters with a nice uppercut.

Bengal takes the fight into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bengal is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stare Bengal dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Boston gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Bengal manages to break the clinch.

Boston takes the fight into the clinch.

Boston tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bengal just stands there and leans against the cage.
Boston fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bengal is trying to break free.
Boston blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boston's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Boston shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evander Boston. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bengal stuffs the takedown attempt from Boston. Boston gets slowly back to his feet.
Boston shoots in looking for a takedown but Bengal manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boston's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bengal tries to counter with a clinch but Boston shakes him off and moves away.

Boston shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bengal counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Boston thinking.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bengal misses with a wild combination.

Bengal closes the distance and clinches.
Boston has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bengal after a bit of a struggle.
Boston drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bengal pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bengal looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Boston looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bengal is fending him off so far but Boston persists. Nope, Bengal circles away and we're back to standing.
And Bengal responds with a good body kick, but Boston manages to step out the way in time.
Boston throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bengal's waist but Bengal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boston off to one side.
Evander Boston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bengal pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bengal closes the distance and pushes Boston back into the cage.
Boston tries to stall but Bengal uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Come on Bengal - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Boston is trying to pull guard but Bengal turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Bengal works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Bengal stands up and waves to Boston to follow him.
Bengal has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boston gets tackled into the cage by Bengal. Bengal maintains the clinch.
Boston is trying to drag Bengal to the mat but Bengal just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

A nice right hand lands inside from Boston.

Boston manages to break the clinch.
Bengal lands a head kick. Boston smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Boston rushes Bengal and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bengal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bengal gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Boston to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bengal is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Bengal is working an open guard so Boston takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Boston changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bengal tries to avoid it but Boston manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bengal to the ground. Bengal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bengal throws a series of strikes that have Boston backpedaling.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bengal clinches up with Boston and pushes him back against the cage.
Boston misses with the head strike.
Bengal jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boston walks away with a smile on his face. Bengal gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Boston has his takedown stuffed
and Bengal counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Bengal clinches up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stare Bengal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Boston gets a clinch.
Bengal blocks a body shot from Boston.
Boston is trying to pull guard but Bengal turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Boston avoids the elbow strike from Bengal, against the cage.
Bengal lands a right hand that snaps the head of Boston backwards.
Boston misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Boston sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Bengal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boston. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bengal stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bengal wants it to stay on the feet.
Boston sets himself, and Bengal steps forward looking for the clinch! Boston avoids it this time.

Bengal ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bengal no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Boston gets to his feet. Bengal looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Evander Boston is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Boston moves into range and clinches up with Bengal.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boston has Bengal pressed against the cage, preventing Bengal from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Boston's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Boston keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bengal's efforts to push away.
Boston prevents the takedown attempt.
A frustrated look appears on Bengal's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Boston jumps guard but Bengal stands there with Boston around his waist. Boston gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Stare Bengal seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Boston is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bengal can't fight it off and eventually Boston manages to take the fight to the floor. Bengal looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Evander Boston has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Stare Bengal.
I've got Bengal winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
