Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Edmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ulquiorra Cifer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ulquiorra Cifer struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cifer pushes Edmond up against the cage in a clinch.

Cifer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Cifer is fighting off a takedown attempt but Edmond is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cifer to the mat. Cifer regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Cifer has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Edmond is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cifer.

As Edmond backs off Cifer throws a huge counter combo but Edmond manages to avoid it all.

Edmond is trying to trip Cifer. He has hold of a leg but Cifer is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Edmond persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Edmond.
