Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Elwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mansour Barnaoui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elwood comes to the cage accompanied by Ice Cube - Why We Thugs. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Barnaoui there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Elwood slips a straight right by Barnaoui.
Barnaoui tries a low kick but Elwood avoids it.
Elwood throws a sloppy head kick
and Barnaoui counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Barnaoui.
Elwood has Barnaoui pulled in close to control his posture.
Elwood is trying to keep Barnaoui in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnaoui is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Barnaoui tries to free his leg and advance position but Elwood is retaining full guard.
Elwood is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barnaoui drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barnaoui jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Barnaoui closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Barnaoui throws a body shot but no joy.
Sloppy strikes from Elwood. Those never looked like landing.
Barnaoui throws a combination. Elwood tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Elwood thuds a left hand into Barnaoui's body.
Elwood is pawing at Barnaoui, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Barnaoui's nose. Barnaoui is badly hurt! Elwood pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Barnaoui tries desperately to hold on but Elwood is relentless in his assault! As Barnaoui receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Elwood away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Elwood!
After winning the bout, Jake Elwood thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
