The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gero explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Gero seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A big right from Herzog misses.
Herzog avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Herzog drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Gero defends it well.
Gero misses with a wild combination.
Herzog with the counter takedown but Gero avoids it easily.
Gero steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Herzog.
Gero shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Herzog loads up on a big right hand but Gero slips the punch.
Herzog throws a shot from downtown. Gero moves away and avoids it.
Herzog looks to throw the jab but Gero is out of range.
Herzog throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Herzog counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gero won't be happy with that.
Herzog passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gero!

Herzog jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gero manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Herzog is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Gero is trying to escape and Herzog transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Gero is forced to tap! Nice work there by Herzog! Very nice indeed!
