Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Toney Bowman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Gero!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gero fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gero throws a head kick that misses.
Bowman checks a leg kick.

Gero closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bowman did well to prevent Gero getting side control.

Bowman is trying to get back to full guard.
Bowman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bowman escapes and gets back to his feet.

Bowman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gero napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Bowman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bowman winds up and cracks Gero with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bowman lands a nice short elbow.
Bowman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bowman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gero keeps working.

Bowman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Bowman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Bowman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gero with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bowman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gero tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bowman is in Gero's guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

A right handed body shot lands from Gero.
Bowman unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Bowman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
