The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Eaton if he has to take too many more of those.
Eaton tries for a takedown but McGee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And McGee counters with a quick kick to the body but Eaton blocks it.

McGee is looking to counter the offense by Eaton and move into the clinch.

I was talking to McGee's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Eaton closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGee circles away.
McGee throws a big counter combination but Eaton scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Eaton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

After the fight, Clarence McGee was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
