Creed has chosen James Brown - Living in America as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Creed defends it nicely.
Creed walks into a stiff left hand from Mayer .
Mayer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Creed swivels and escapes.

Creed will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mayer throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Mayer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Creed looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Creed takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Mayer connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Creed some visible discomfort.
Creed is looking to regain half guard here but Mayer keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mayer fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Mayer is looking to take a break and control but Creed is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mayer with the ground and pound but Creed regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Mayer seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Creed regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Mayer .

Mayer throws a strike but Creed rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Creed seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Creed throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Creed moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Creed connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Adlet Mayer 's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Mayer shoots in looking for a takedown. Creed tries to sprawl out of it but Mayer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Creed manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Creed sends Mayer crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Creed is motioning to the referee to let Mayer up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Mayer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Adlet Mayer 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
